Empathic Selling   face_1.jpg (1468 bytes)

In this program salespeople learn how to build trust and long-term relationships by empathically understanding the feelings and concerns of customers. Positive, non-coercive influence strategies are taught, modeled in actual situations and practiced.

Imagine you are a financial planner and your new client says to you:

"I’m afraid that your commission structure will bias the advice you give me."

Here are three possible responses to the client:

  1. "No, it won’t. I’m impartial and can offer you virtually any kind of investment."

  2. This denies the client’s feeling and concern and the client will feel resentful.

  3. "Are you afraid I’ll steer you into certain investments because they will bring me more financial gain?"

  4. Is that what the client is probably thinking? YES. Is replying that way effective listening? NO. While this response acknowledges the client’s feeling, it reinforces their fearful, negative judgment of the planner.

  5. "Are you concerned because you want to get the best, impartial advice for your needs?"

  6. This acknowledges the client’s feeling and positive hope. While it’s not exactly what the client said; it is what they really want behind their words.

Connecting with another person’s feelings and positive hopes is true empathy. True empathy brings about a positive connection and builds trust. Participant’s learn and practice the key skills of true empathy in the program.

Team Building   faces4.jpg (1474 bytes)

This program uses a personality instrument to quickly develop mutual understanding and appreciation of the different strengths each person brings to the team. A variety of customized group experiential learning exercises are used to demonstrate and teach communication, cooperation, problem solving and effective group decision-making.

"Your program kept the 'believers' excited and turned all the 'non-believers' into 'believers.' In fact, almost all of the original 'non-believers' volunteered for further project work. Most Impressive!"  Marilyn Reilly, Manager

Management and Supervision   faces5.jpg (1417 bytes)

This program integrates the following essential skills of managing people with the Let's Talk model:

"It works. It really works! This program helped me to look at the people I work with in a different way. I learned to be a good listener and to communicate effectively, thereby greatly reducing the amount of stress on the job. I learned how to resolve conflicts in a way that everyone benefits. I became a more positive and effective manager."  Director, Health Services

Individual Coaching

Sometimes one key player has difficulty working with others. In this program a Let's Talk consultant spends a morning assessing the individual's communication skills and meets with his/her manager and co-workers. The consultant then spends the afternoon training the individual in needed skills. This day is followed up with 16 telephone coaching sessions with the individual over the next eight weeks to reinforce the appropriate use of skills on the job.

Coaching is customized to individual need. Executives use coaching first to assess their strengths and growth areas. They then learn to develop compelling visions, communicate dynamically and mobilize enthusiastic support.

"I was impressed with Andrew LeCompte's solid understanding of what was needed and his ability to inspire. His ideas on how to bring about change helped me transform and grow the company into a quality leader in the industry."  Dennis Sholl, Corporation President

Organization Development   faces3.jpg (1472 bytes)

Create a positive, highly motivated and effective human system. Assess the needs of your company, departments, key managers and contributors. Develop strategic and tactical plans to bring about the changes and improvements which will move your organization ahead.

"In the last Business Review in June with AT&T, they said we had reached 'a level of world-class support' and that comment confirmed for us that what we've been doing has been very worthwhile."  National Semiconductor
